Once you are selected into Kerala Administrative Service (KAS), you can be appointed as a second gazetted officer in any of the 30 important departments in the state. The Kerala Administrative Service (KAS) is being formed by setting aside 10 percent of second gazetted posts of the selected 29 departments and common category.

The candidates who clear the KAS Exam conducted by Kerala Public Service Commission (KPSC) will be inducted into any of the departments mentioned above. The candidates may get a provision to choose the department they wish to work on.
